Last year’s Grudge Match winners Pambula Fishing Club President Joe Klimas passing on the Trophies to the 2024 Winners Eden Amateur Fishing club President Val Cartledge.
Terrible weather came in for the weekend’s Grudge Match between Merimbula, Pambula and Eden fishing clubs.
The bars at Merimbula and Pambula were very dangerous on Saturday and Sunday, stopping boats from heading out to sea to fish, so giving Eden amateur Fishing club a huge advantage, not having a bar to cross. One boat single handedly cleaned up the majority of the points for the Eden club.
Eden winning 90pts. Pambula 30 pts. Merimbula 20pts.
Well done Geoff with 30 points and Peter with 61 points, they received the block of chocolate award for their great achievement.
Merimbula being the host club put on a delicious Italian themed Luncheon for sixty-five participants.
A big thankyou to the Merimbula BGLAC members that contributed to our day. The two Grudge Match shields now hang in pride of place on the wall in the club house. It is Eden’s turn to host next year with a date to be organised.
